This guide is for team admins or staff responsible for streaming games using the AGL platform. You will learn how to schedule and start a game stream, select video sources, customize settings, preview your stream, and share it with viewers or opponents. To complete these steps, you must have team credentials and access to the AGL mobile app version 2.0. Supported devices include iPhones or iPads with iOS 13 or higher, and Android devices. Streaming requires camera and microphone permissions.

Common Limitations of Mobile Device Streaming

When using a phone or tablet as the streaming camera, be aware of the following limitations:

  • Do Not Disturb Required
Incoming calls, texts, or notifications can interrupt the stream. Always enable Do Not Disturb.

  • Dependent on Personal Data Connectivity
Stream quality relies on your device’s cellular signal. Poor coverage may affect video quality or stability.

  • Battery Drain
Long games can significantly drain battery life. External battery packs are recommended.

  • Device Overheating
Extended streaming in hot weather may cause the device to overheat and stop streaming.

For long tournaments or all-day events, the AGL Camera is recommended for better reliability.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Enable Do Not Disturb before starting the stream

  • Use cellular data instead of public Wi-Fi when possible

  • Keep the device shaded to prevent overheating

  • Connect to an external battery pack for longer games

Troubleshooting
Issue: Stream will not start
Try: Confirm you are logged in with team credentials and have a stable internet connection.

Issue: Video preview does not load
