This guide is for team admins or scorekeepers who need to skip a batter during a live game in the AGL app. You will learn how to replace the current batter with another player to keep the game moving accurately. To complete these steps, you must have team credentials and access to the AGL mobile app version 2.0.
1: Select the Current Batter
- During a live game, locate the player who is up to bat.
- Select the player at the plate to open batter options.
2: Skip the Batter
- Choose Skip Batter from the available options.
- You can also choose Skip Batter from the icon on the bottom of the screen.
- Select the player who will bat in their place.
3: Confirm the Change
- The newly selected player will immediately appear at home plate.
- Continue scoring the game as normal.
Tips and Best Practices
- Use Skip Batter for late arrivals, injuries, or lineup adjustments.
- Confirm you select the correct replacement player to ensure accurate stats.
- Skipping a batter does not remove them from the roster; it only affects the current at-bat.
